Springboard Forward (SBF) programs have achieved success through vital
partnerships with businesses, foundations, and community groups.
EMPLOYER PARTNERS
City of Palo Alto: Now in its 5th year, the City of Palo
Alto Seasonal Employment Program offers employee development training
to individuals living in homeless shelters in Silicon Valley. Through SBF's one-on-one career development training, the majority
of participants have been able to move into transitional or permanent
housing, and find more stable employment.
Home Depot: Recently extended by a grant from the Hewlett Foundation, SBF's Star Performers Retention & Advancement
Program delivers intense, one-on-one career
coaching to Home Depot employees. Star Performers helps workers develop new skills and assume responsibility
for their own career development. The 12-week program requires each participant to develop
an individual development plan addressing specific job issues.
Stanford University: At Stanford, SBF delivers employee development training
in conjunctions with its Star Performers Retention & Advancement Program.
SBF provides bi-lingual employee development
training, as well as courses focused on improving customer service, enhancing
communication skills, and learning conflict resolutions skills.
